Country Inn - Restaurant
Daniel was founded in the mid -1600 by a sailor who washed ashore on
Saint Daniel's day, however it was Mr. Daniel Ellis, who build the plantationhouse in 1711
on a huge piece of property that runs all the way to the sea.
Plantationhouse Daniel was one of the firsts on Curaçao and was
already used as an inn at that time, being a stop for travelers and their horses going
east - EST or vice - versa.
The Location
The plantation is situated Weg naar Westpunt z/n in the heart of
Curaçao near some of the island's finest beaches and dives sites and only a short drive
from Willemstad, Curaçao's picturesque capital, with its shopping center and typical
attractions like the floating market and the pontonbridge. At Daniel, situated on the
countryside of the island, you'll enjoy peace and quiet. Nature lovers will delight in
unusual plants and animals, as well as a wide variety of typical birds.
The Accommodations
Four rooms are available in the plantationhouse, with a lovely view
over the Caribbean Sea and the countryside and four in a small row house near the swimming
pool, surrounded by typical vegetation. All rooms have their own private bathroom; the
plantation has a freshwater swimming pool, a pagoda-shaped open-air bar and a restaurant.
Which offers modern high quality French Caribbean cuisine, breakfast, lunch and dinner,
are served on the cool and shady terrace in front of the plantation house or in the cool
entrance hall that runs the length of the house.
